Terms of Service
Last updated: July 22, 2026
1. Who we are
Disposa ("we", "us") is a photo-sharing service for events — a virtual disposable camera — provided through the Disposa iOS app, the Disposa App Clip, and disposa.app (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by House of Share ApS, CVR 43640666, Platanvej 6, 12. 1, 1810 Frederiksberg C, Denmark. Questions: support@disposa.app.
By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. The Service
Hosts create events; guests join via an invite link or QR code. Each participant gets a limited number of photos ("shots") to take during the event, and the shared album becomes visible according to the settings the host chose (for example after the event ends, or only to the host). We may change, improve, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time.
3. Your account
You can use Disposa without creating a traditional account — we create an anonymous account on your device automatically. You can optionally link it to your Apple ID (Sign in with Apple), which lets you keep your account across devices and unlocks certain features. You are responsible for activity that happens through your account and device.
4. Events, invitations and participation
- The host controls the event: its dates, shot limits, guest limit, album visibility and reveal time. The host can also remove guests and delete individual photos or the whole event.
- Anyone with the invite link or QR code can join an event (up to its guest limit). Share invite links only with people you want in the album.
- Joining an event makes your chosen display name and your photo count visible to the event's other participants, and makes the photos you take part of the event's album under the host's visibility settings.
5. Your content
You keep all rights to the photos you take. So that the Service can work, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, process (for example compress and archive), and display your photos to the event's participants in accordance with the event's settings. This license ends when your photos are deleted from the Service.
You are responsible for the photos you take. Only photograph people who are okay with being photographed, and don't upload content that is illegal, infringing, or harmful. The host of an event may remove your photos at their discretion.
6. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the Service. In particular, don't:
- upload content that is unlawful, hateful, pornographic, or harassing, or that infringes anyone's rights (including privacy and copyright);
- attempt to access other users' data, probe or disrupt our systems, or circumvent limits (such as shot counts or guest caps);
- use the Service to spam, impersonate others, or collect data about others.
We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
7. Purchases
Creating events beyond the free tier requires a one-time in-app purchase, processed by Apple through your App Store account. Prices are shown before you buy. Purchases are consumed by the event they were bought for and are non-refundable except where required by law or by Apple's refund policies — refund requests are handled by Apple, not us. Guest-limit upgrades bought for an existing event apply immediately to that event only.
8. Album storage, archival and deletion
- Photos are stored so participants can view and download the album under the event's settings.
- About 30 days after an event ends, its album is archived: photos are recompressed into a single downloadable archive and the originals are deleted. Download your album before archival if you want the originals.
- Hosts can delete an event at any time, which permanently deletes its photos. Deleting your account deletes the events you hosted, including their photos. Deletion is permanent.
9. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service at any time and, if your account is linked to Apple, delete it in the app (Profile → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as 5, 10 and 11) do.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do our best to keep your photos safe and the Service running, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability or that content will never be lost — keep your own copies of photos that matter to you (you can download your album). To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (for example in the app). Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by Danish law, and disputes are subject to the courts of Denmark — this doesn't deprive you of protections you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence. Contact us at support@disposa.app.
